Dhaatri Vengunad is an artist, illustrator and visual storyteller based in Chennai, India.
She loves to explore a wide range of painting styles that include – Abstracts on canvas, ethnic Indian Art, Line drawings, digital art, caricatures, and dreamy black and white sketches. Her visual poems have been awarded in the Sonic Boom Vispo Annual Contest 2021, 2022 and 2023. Her cartoon creations Kat & Apila, an unapologetically peace-loving cat and caterpillar combination, have their home at cattails, the online haikai journal. Dhaatri holds a degree in Visual Communication and a Diploma in Children’s Book Illustration. She advocates for neurodiversity and endorses the embracing of differences in every sphere.
